Dear OGSSI Family,
I am honoured to assume the Presidency of OGSSI. Having been an OGSSIan for over thirty years, I deeply understand what this office and our society mean to each of us. I sincerely acknowledge the remarkable contributions of my predecessors, whose dedication has laid a strong foundation for our future.
The year ahead presents a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our academic platforms, encourage meaningful member engagement, and expand our reach beyond conventional boundaries. Together, we will focus on structured CMEs, workshops, interactive academic forums, and initiatives that are practical, relevant, and inclusive.
We are committed to improving member participation by creating an environment where every voice is heard and valued. Strengthening communication—both digital and personal—will remain a priority so that OGSSI continues to be a connected, dynamic, and responsive professional family.
None of this can be achieved alone. I am fortunate to have a dedicated team, and I strongly believe in shared leadership. With your guidance, support, and active participation, I am confident that together we can make this a truly impactful and memorable year.
President, OGSSI 2026–2027

Dear OGSSI Family,
With immense gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility, I assume office as the Secretary of OGSSI for the year 2026–2027. I thank each one of you for the confidence you have placed in me, and I consider it a privilege to serve this esteemed society that has contributed significantly to the growth of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in our region.
As a clinician, surgeon, teacher, and lifelong learner, I have always believed that medicine advances when knowledge is shared, skills are refined, and minds remain open to innovation. OGSSI has long been a platform that brings together experienced stalwarts and young professionals with a common purpose—to improve women's health through excellence in care, education, and research.
Together with our President, office bearers, and committee chairpersons, we envision a year rich in academic activities, skill-building initiatives, collaborative learning, leadership development, and public awareness programs. Our goal is to ensure that every member finds value, inspiration, and opportunities for professional growth.
I am particularly passionate about fostering continuous learning, encouraging evidence-based practice, embracing technological advancements, and supporting young gynaecologists as they build their professional journeys. Equally important is strengthening the bonds of friendship, mentorship, and mutual respect that make OGSSI more than a professional organization—it is a family.
As we move forward, I invite each member to actively participate, contribute ideas, share expertise, and engage wholeheartedly in our activities. Let us work together to create a year that is academically vibrant, professionally rewarding, and impactful for the women and communities we serve.
